About the Laramie County Alliance

Braver Angels of Laramie County, Wyoming, hosts workshops, debates, discussions, and public presentations designed to bridge polarizing political and other divides. These events allow attendees to get past destructive stereotypes and have civil conversations about real issues that might lead to finding common ground and productive problem-solving. 

Our Vision Is:

• A public sphere for civil and constructive conversations to improve understanding, and to explore solutions where there is common ground.

Our Mission Is:

• Develop skills, and provide public forums, to discuss issues with civility, clarity and regard for differences, in search of understanding and ways to work together.

Our General Goals Are:

• Offer Braver Angels skills workshops.

• Organize in-person events with audience participation, including panel and film/book discussions, that (i) address issues of concern to our membership, and (ii) follow Braver Angels ground rules for civil discourse.

• Hold Braver Angels debates that advance mutual understanding and search for truth, without assigning winners and losers.

• Attract members and participants.

• Partner with other organizations with compatible goals.
